Abstract

This scholarly article explores the multifaceted dimensions of moral upbringing and education within the context of Islamic principles. It recognizes the profound significance of nurturing the current generation with unwavering values while equipping them with contemporary education and essential skills. The formative phase of a student's life resembles a blank canvas, upon which the guidance provided by parents and guardians plays a pivotal role in shaping a promising future. Within the framework of Islamic teachings, this article highlights the unique and comprehensive guidance it offers, extending from the ancient to the modern era. It emphasizes the fundamental role of parents in providing their offspring with a sound education, faith and moral integrity. Knowledge, a revered entity in Islamic tradition, is exemplified by the Quran's first divine command, which urges humanity to "Read" (Iqra), underscoring the paramount importance of learning and education as a means to enlightenment. History stands as a resounding testament to the catastrophic consequences borne by humanity when moral upbringing are neglected.
