The universe operates as a cohesive unity, where every component is interconnected and interdependent. Allah Almighty has intricately designed everything in the universe to support human life and benefit living beings, ensuring a harmonious existence. The preservation of the environment holds paramount importance for the sustainability of the universe. Nature has bestowed upon us lush green valleys, majestic mountains, dense forests, serene waterfalls, bubbling springs, flowing rivers, and expansive seas—all intended for human utilization and comfort within this earthly realm. These natural elements were entrusted to maintain a delicate balance, yet human intervention has disrupted this equilibrium. Deforestation, mining, marine pollution, and industrial emissions have gradually altered the landscape, leading to widespread environmental degradation. Consequently, the world grapples with concerns over air, water, and land pollution, as well as noise, nuclear, light, and heat pollution. Despite numerous initiatives, environmental pollution remains a pressing issue across underdeveloped, developing, and developed nations, impacting both rural and urban communities and posing significant health risks. To combat environmental pollution, cleanliness and hygiene practices are imperative at individual, communal, and governmental levels. This purification extends beyond the physical realm to encompass spiritual and collective purification, as emphasized in the teachings of the Quran and Hadith. Islamic principles advocate for the elimination of underlying causes contributing to pollution. This dissertation employs a historical and narrative research methodology to explore these themes and solutions.
