This article contains the linguistic and rhetorical analysis of one verse of Surat Hud, namely "وَقِيلَ يَٰٓأَرۡضُ ٱبۡلَعِي مَآءَكِ وَيَٰسَمَآءُ أَقۡلِعِي ‌وَغِيضَ ‌ٱلۡمَآءُ وَقُضِيَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ وَٱسۡتَوَتۡ عَلَى ٱلۡجُودِيِّۖ وَقِيلَ بُعۡدٗا لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ". The researcher began his research by explaining each word of the noble verse, indicating the linguistic meaning and the meaning intended for it, citing the opinions of scholars. Then he touched on the rhetorical analysis of the noble verse, showing the phenomena of the knowledge of the meanings present in the noble verse, namely: separation and connection, introduction and delay, remembrance, and deletion, definition, and disapproval. Generous are anaphora, counterpoint, contrast, sound reasoning, synonyms, puns, illusion, eloquence, good eloquence, and other types describing its rhetorical secrets. Finally, he wrote his findings during the writing of this article.
