Sir Syed Ahmed Khan is one of the great personalities of the 19th century, who rendered his services for the nation with his deep intellect. He was a great reformer, national thinker and an educationist. He was a skilled grammarian. With his determination, staunch faith and consistent struggle, put an end to the prevailing darkness of ignorance. He wrote for history, politics, archaeology, mass communication, literature, religion and science. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan modernized prose and developed sobriety and piousness in literature. He was fully acquainted with the realm of writing and publishing.
